Mastermind is a blend of washed Nicaraguan coffees produced by Jesus Anibal Guadamuz Ortez from Finca Buena Vista; and washed Colombian coffee from 50 small producers known as the Coffee Belen Association of La Plata, Huila. Senior Ortez undertakes his own soil analysis, selective harvesting and embraces biodiversity. The producers of Colombia have their coffees processed on their farms in fermenation tanks, fuly washed in micro-mills and then fully sun dried on covered raised beds. This level of control from on-farm processing and the traceability of coffee from each of the producers selected for this seasonal variation of Mastermind results in sustainable, and high quality coffee. Roasted all year round, Mastermind is full bodied, balanced, sweet and very satisfying. Refined for black coffee with a stunning presence in milk, expect rasberry, nougat and quince.
